Jun Hyun (Joseph) Ryoo
I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at College of Business, City University of Hong Kong.
I am an empirical researcher that employs both econometric and machine learning methods to address marketing problems involving unstructured data (e.g., texts, images). I received my Ph.D. in 2021, and B.A. in 2016, both from Ivey Business School, The University of Western Ontario.
My research has appeared in Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and Customer Needs and Solutions.
At City University of Hong Kong, I have taught Empirical Marketing Research to Ph.D. students, and Brand Marketing to M.Sc. students. As well, I am currently serving as a Research Seminar Coordinator for the Department of Marketing.
